Position Description:

Pine River is seeking a New York based Credit Analyst focused on US corporate issuers, working primarily with the high yield and distressed research/portfolio management group, and secondarily with the credit traders. In this position, the Credit Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and researching current positions and finding new investment opportunities. Investments will be made from the long and short side and range from loan and high yield bonds to restructuring situations in and out of bankruptcy. Specific responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fundamental research and analysis on companies and their securities across the entire capital structure
  • Work closely with sell-side firms, issuers, and other sources to develop concise and well informed investment recommendations
  • Build and maintain financial cash flow and valuation models, research files, and other pertinent data

 

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years buy side or sell side credit research or leveraged finance investment banking experience
  • Familiarity with single-name and index credit derivatives and options a plus
  • Undergraduate degree in finance or mathematics preferred
