Daniele Iacovone to join Lloyds Bank as head of loan market distribution

Daniele Iacovone is to join Lloyds Bank as head of loan market distribution, reporting to Simon Allocca, managing director and head of loan markets at the bank.

In his new post, Iacovone will bring together Lloyds’ separate loan distribution efforts into one team. He will be based in London, and start the new role on May 28.

Iacovone previously ran Barclays Capital’s global loan sales efforts in London, as well as the firm’s leverage products sales team, where he was responsible for leading the coverage of institutional accounts in Europe for primary and secondary sales of syndicated loans, loan CDS, and loan indices. Most recently, from 2009 to December 2011, he has run his own private investment vehicle, Iacovone Investments, which is focused on distressed real estate transactions in the U.S.

Prior to this, Iacovone began his career at Barclays, joining the bank’s U.S. management development programme in 1989, and leaving to join Bankers Trust in 1993. He rejoined Barclays in 1996, initially as a director in Barclays Capital’s telecom and media financing team.
